About me

Eleonors Care & Consulting, run by Eleonor Koschinski, is a company operating in Hanko, Ekenäs, Karis, Inkoo, Siuntio and Kirkkonummi, among other places. I offer services as a midwife, nurse, swimming teacher and also gua sha combing.

I am a trained midwife since 2019, a swimming teacher since 2013, a sports instructor since 2014 and I am also trained to act as a support family for vulnerable families with children. I have also worked as a Doula at Folkhälsan.

As a midwife, I have worked at Espoo and Lohja maternity hospitals. As a swimming teacher, I have worked with everything from baby swimming to technical swimming. I have combined midwifery with my sports instructor skills and I have organized training groups for pregnant women in both Hanko and Ekenäs.

My services are suitable for everyone who needs extra support in everyday life. For those who may need support getting used to water or who want to practice their swimming skills, I offer swimming lessons.

My midwifery services are here for those who are pregnant and thinking about giving birth, those who have already given birth and are thinking about breastfeeding, and those who need help getting back into exercise after giving birth.

What I am most passionate about is natural childbirth and breastfeeding. It is not a given that breastfeeding works for everyone and in most cases the mother and also the baby need a little extra help for functioning breastfeeding. The very first period with the baby is the most important to ensure successful breastfeeding and breast stimulation is essential. The baby may also need some kind of baby massage in the beginning as the baby’s muscles may be tense after childbirth. This can, for example, make breastfeeding more difficult. If the baby’s muscles seem to be tense it recommended to go get it checked out.

When it comes to confidence or swimming skills, I teach both group and private lessons for all ages. Baby swimming is offered for children aged 4 months to 1 year, after which it becomes aquatic groups for children aged 2 to 5 years, and then to swimming lessons adapted by age and swimming ability.

I live in Ekenäs but grew up in Hanko. Eleonor’s Care & Consulting operates in Hanko, Ekenäs, Karis, Inkoo, Siuntio and Kirkkonummi. My first language is Swedish, but I can also work in English. I charge by the hour and apply a kilometricallowance of €0.29/km for trips exceeding 50 kilometers from my home.
